Turn off shared calendar alerts in iOS8
I recently had to move my corporate mail settings from Google’s Exchange server to their regular GMail server for our GAFE environment. While everything worked fine, I suddenly found myself getting notifications for various other employees via their shared calendar. I went into Calendar and unchecked all of them, thinking that would stop the notifications. Nope.
Instead, those settings are found elsewhere – of course they are.

NOTIFICATIONS
CALENDAR (Found in the “Include section at the top)
SHARED CALENDAR SETTINGS
In there, turn off or on any notifications you don’t want or want.
Whew. Finally, I no longer see when my coworker is going to the doctor.
